Party Rentals in East York and the Danforth
EY Party Rentals is based right here in East York, at 2229 Danforth Avenue. We rent tents, tables and chairs for backyard parties, birthdays, graduations, weddings, street festivals and community events across East York and the Danforth. Folding chairs are $2 each, 6-foot tables are $10 and frame tents start at $70 for a 10×10.
Because this is our own neighbourhood, you have two options. We can deliver, set up and pick up (the minimum delivery order is $150), or you can pick up smaller orders from our Danforth Avenue location and skip the delivery charge.

Prices are per item for your event. Chair and table delivery is $2 per item when it isn’t bundled with a tent order, and the minimum delivery order is $150. Small gatherings you pick up yourself
For a family dinner or a kids’ birthday, 20 chairs ($40) and three 6-foot tables ($30) come to $70. Smaller orders like this can be picked up from our location on Danforth Avenue, so there’s no delivery charge.
Backyard parties on narrow city lots
A lot of homes around the Danforth, Woodbine Heights and Pape Village have long, narrow backyards. A 10×20 tent ($150) usually fits better than a square one and still covers two long tables and about 20 guests. Add three tables and 20 chairs and the whole setup is $220 before delivery. Street festivals and community events
BIA events, church fundraisers and street parties along the Danforth usually need a row of 10×10 tents ($70 each) for food and vendors, plus long tables and plenty of chairs. For stalls away from a power outlet, a generator is $50. Our street festival rentals page covers larger setups.

Do You Need a Permit for a Tent in East York?
For a private backyard, a small tent usually needs nothing from the city. Bigger setups are different. Under the Ontario Building Code, tents that add up to more than 60 square metres (about 645 square feet) generally need a building permit from the City of Toronto. That means anything larger than a 20×30, or two mid-size tents placed side by side.
If your event is in a city park, such as East Lynn Park, Stan Wadlow Park or Taylor Creek Park, or on a public road, you will also need a park or street event permit from the City of Toronto.
