Indoor rooms have hard limits. You can’t push a wall back the way you can spread out on a lawn, so the layout matters more.
A good rule is about 10 to 12 square feet per seated guest, plus room for the buffet and walkways. A 6-foot table seats 6 to 8 people. Round tables feel more formal and keep conversation going, while long tables fit more guests into a narrow basement or party room.
